Deborah Ager is a poet, author, and founder of 32 Poems Magazine. Her poetry has appeared in numerous publications, and she has received a number of fellowships for her work, including a Tennessee Williams Scholarship, fellowships from the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and MacDowell.

Deborah Ager worked in the MacDowell studio.

Built in 1912, Pine Studio was renamed MacDowell Studio in 1943 in recognition of support from a group of Edward MacDowell’s music students. It was built as a composers’ studio and the stuccoed walls were intended to be soundproof.
