Alex Abramovich is the author of Bullies: A Friendship. He writes for the London Review of Books and teaches at Columbia University.
Abramovich spent his residency working on his forthcoming book, The History of Rock and Roll, which is under contract to Farrar, Straus & Giroux. The chapters he worked on and completed at MacDowell are ones he'd been struggling with, on and off, for the better part of a decade.
