Alexandra Collier is an Australian playwright based in Brooklyn, NY. She worked on her play Deathless and an untitled screenplay about the Aussie-New York experience. Her play Still Waiting won the RE Ross Trust Playwrights Award (Australia) and was profiled in the Australian Scriptwriting Centre's collection of the best Australian plays of 2006.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
