Alexandra Napier is a playwright and performance maker from Toronto, Canada. She worked on her first feature film script, Daughters (sex dance), with collaborator Deragh Campbell while at MacDowell. Napier has co-produced a symposium on text in contemporary aesthetic practices in St. Erme, France.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney.
