Amy Lam, works with Jon McCurley as the artist group Life of a Craphead. Their work spans performance art, film, and curation.

During their 2014 residency, the duo worked on their first feature-length film Bugs, a comedy about a bug society. It would premiere in January 2015 at the Western Front in Vancouver.

At MacDowell in 2017, they worked on the screenplay for their second feature-length film, tentatively titled White Supremacist Elf, about a woman of color who gets rejected from a fairy tale. In Spring 2017, they undertook a program of research and travel in Taipei, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts.

New Jersey

Amy Chin-Yan Lam worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
