Andrea Codrington Lippke is an editor and writer specializing in design and visual culture. She has been a columnist for the New York Times, an editor at Phaidon Press, senior editor at I.D. Magazine, and a guest critic and lecturer at Parsons School of Design, the School of Visual Arts, Yale University, the Cranbrook Academy of Art, University of the Arts, and Pratt Institute.

She is the author of the books Kyle Cooper: Monographics and Greta Magnusson Grossman: A Car and Some Shorts and has written for publications such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, Kinfolk, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Metropolis, and Cabinet. She currently lives on eastern Long Island with her husband, photographer Ira Lippke, and their two children.

Andrea Codrington worked in the Wood studio.

Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
