Andreia Pinto-Correia

Andreia Pinto-Correia worked on her first opera, O Búfalo Mágico, a cocommission by Drumming GP/ Ópera do Castelo with libretto by acclaimed West African writer Ondjaki. Her commission for the American Composers Orchestra, Elegia a Al-Mu'tamid, premiered at Carnegie Hall in 2012. In 2018, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra gave a premiere of Ciprés, a work commissioned by the League of American Orchestras and the Toulmin Foundation.
