Andrew Norman is a composer of chamber and orchestral music. His work explores the boundary lands of classical notation and the role of interpretation in the creation of large-scale instrumental compositions. He was named Musical America’s 2017 Composer of the Year.

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
