Cappetta’s photography offers a unique blend of highly intimate, candid, poignant and sometimes humorous views of the human condition.

Based in New York, Cappetta has been exhibiting at art galleries since the mid-1990s. Her imagery has appeared in the magazine pages of Wired, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, The New York Times Magazine, The London Times Magazine, Travel & Leisure, and Vogue, among many others. Her advertising clients include Grey, Havas, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Fallon.

Cappetta’s work includes ad campaigns for major brands, edgy, beautiful wedding photography, and blue chip private commissions. Her work is in the permanent collections of museums like the Corcoran Gallery of Art, The New York Public Library, the Carlsbad Museum , Victoria and Albert, and privately by individuals like Sally Mann and Agnes Gund. She is a NYFA and a MacDowell Fellow

Angela Cappetta worked in the Nef studio.

Nef Studio, the first entirely new studio built after 1937, was donated by esteemed photographer, explorer, author, and MacDowell Fellow Evelyn Steffanson Nef in 1992. Endowed funds for the studio’s maintenance in perpetuity and an annual Fellowship for photographers were given in addition to funds for construction.
