Annie Diamond is a poet and bookseller living and working in Chicago. She has been awarded fellowships by MacDowell, The Lighthouse Works, Luminarts Cultural Foundation, and Boston University, where she earned her M.F.A. in 2017. Her poems have appeared in Tar River Poetry, Rabbit Catastrophe Review, The Laurel Review, The Tishman Review, Tupelo Quarterly, and elsewhere, and are forthcoming in Yemassee. While in residence, she wrote 54 poems in the eight weeks she spent at MacDowell. A number of those poems are going into her first book-length poetry manuscript, which is currently in the works.

Funded by Alpha Chi Omega, a national fraternity founded in 1885, Star Studio — built in 1911–1912 — was the first studio given to the residency by an outside organization.
