Anu Jindal is at work on his first novel. He has previously published short stories in Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading, The New Quarterly, Joyland Magazine, Pioneer, and Matrix Magazine. A MacDowell Fellow and Center for Fiction Emerging Writers Fellow, he has been the recipient of a Grant for Professional Writers from The Canada Council for the Arts, as well as a Travel & Study Grant from the Jerome Foundation. He received his M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Anu currently resides in Brooklyn and has taught creative writing at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Chapman

Anu Jindal worked in the Chapman studio.

Chapman Studio was funded by Mrs. Alice Woodrough Chapman in memory of her husband, composer George Alexander Chapman. Symmetrically massed, the building is stuccoed on the exterior with a natural, unpainted cement. Its unusual half-timbered ornament consists of slender, knotty spruce poles painted a dark green color. A central, peak-roofed entrance porch appears on the north side…
