Anya Ulinich is a writer and a visual artist. Her most recent book, a graphic novel titled Lena Finkle's Magic Barrel, was named a New York Times Notable Book and one of the Best Books of the Year by the Los Angeles Times. Her writing had appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forward, and other publications.
At MacDowell, Ulinich worked on her second graphic novel (her third book), tentatively titled The Assimilationist.
