Barbara Feinberg is the award- winning author of Welcome to Lizard Motel: Protecting the Imaginative Lives of Children, and has written about creativity and imaginative life in childhood for the New York Times, Boston Globe, Education Next, and elsewhere. She is the originator and director of Story Shop, a creative arts program for children ages 3–12 in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, in existence since 1992.
