Barbara F. Kendrick is a visual artist who specializes in prints but is also known for painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. She earned her B.F.A. at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE and her M.F.A. from the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Kendrick has been featured in numerous solo and two-person exhibitions throughout the United States as well as in Thessaloniki, Greece. She has also appeared in a number of group exhibitions nationwide. Over the years, she held residencies and fellowships from the Illinois Arts Council, MacDowell, Athens School of Fine Art in Delphi, Ecole de Beaux Arts, Fundacio Artigas, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Millay Colony, Burren College of Art, Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Ragdale Foundation, and Yaddo. She is the recipient of the Illinois Arts Council Finalist Award, the Pollock-Krasner Grant, nine University of Illinois Research Board grants, the Shirley Holden Helberg Grant, and the Illinois Individual Artist’ Support Grant. Kendrick has also taught at the College of DuPage, where she acted as Art Gallery director, as well as at the University of Illinois School of Art and Design.
