Bert Seager is a jazz pianist and composer who teaches in the Contemporary Improvisation Department at the New England Conservatory. His trio CD Open Book was released on Cloud Records. He has completed more than 16 other works on CD, which have received critical acclaim from The New York Times, Keyboard Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, and many other publications.

Van Zorn (formerly Kirby)

Bert Seager worked in the Van Zorn (formerly Kirby) studio.

Constructed thanks to a bequest from Sarah L. Kirby, Kirby Studio was the last new building to be erected during Mrs. MacDowell’s leadership (1907-1951).
