Brian M. Cassidy worked on his second screenplay with his partner, Melanie Shatzky. Their first feature, Francine, screened at the Berlin Film Festival, MoMA, and Lincoln Center. Cassidy and Shatzky have since collaborated on film and photography. Their work has been featured in GUP Magazine, Der Greif, It's Nice That, Wired, FlakPhoto, and Slate, among others.
