Caroline Shaw, a musician, worked on an electronic album as well as a piano concerto for Jonathan Biss while she was in residence. She also did not look at otters on the internet, ever, at MacDowell. Shaw’s a cappella piece, Partita for 8 Voices, was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 2013 and earned a Grammy nomination in 2014. In addition, she has had dinner with a Kardashian, but the two didn’t actually talk to each other.
