Caspar Stracke is a German filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist who worked on two projects on two projects during his time at MacDowell: a 360˚ video panorama depicting twin objects in landscapes and time/ Out of Joint, an experimental documentary on time reversal for which he received a Rockefeller Media Arts Fellowship.

The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
