Awards include 2017 National Poetry Series Competition Finalist; MacDowell Charlotte Sheedy Fellowship; M.F.A. in creative writing, University of Southern Maine at Stonecoast; The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts' Master/Apprentice Fellowship in Traditional Quilting; and The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts' Fellowship in Literature. Publications include Our Name is Memory, Bebop in the Small of Her Back, Berthenia Belle, and Daughter Mouth Blues (Blacksmith and Bones Press). Funded by the Phi Beta Fraternity, a national professional fraternity of music and speech founded in 1912, Phi Beta Studio was built between 1929–1931 of granite quarried on the MacDowell grounds.
