Charlie Buck is an American poet and writer. Her writing has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nevada Arts Council, and her artwork has received awards from the Mid-Atlantic National Endowment for the Arts and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. She’s received multiple residencies at MacDowell and Yaddo, and is currently at work on a novel. Her stories have appeared in publications including Story Magazine and the New Yorker.

Charlie Buck worked in the MacDowell studio.

Built in 1912, Pine Studio was renamed MacDowell Studio in 1943 in recognition of support from a group of Edward MacDowell’s music students. It was built as a composers’ studio and the stuccoed walls were intended to be soundproof.
