Christa Parravani is the author of Her: A Memoir, an indie bestseller. Her has been optioned for film by producer Jon Kilik. Parravani's writing has appeared in Guernica, Catapult, Hobart, Marie Claire, Glamour, The Washington Post, Salon, The Rumpus, The Daily Beast, The London Times, The Daily Mail, and The Guardian, among other places. While at MacDowell she'll be working on her second book, Life and Death in West Virginia, a memoir that investigates the current crisis of reproductive rights in the United States. Parravani is assistant professor of creative nonfiction at West Virginia University.
