Christina Soccolich Godshalk is an American writer. After a stay of approximately twenty years in Southeast Asia, she wrote her only novel Kalimantaan, with which she debuted in 1998. The novel is set on Borneo. The Dutch translation appeared under the title Kalimantan. In the book, Godshalk gives a romanticized account of the expedition from James Brooke to Sarawak.

Christina Godshalk worked in the MacDowell studio.

Built in 1912, Pine Studio was renamed MacDowell Studio in 1943 in recognition of support from a group of Edward MacDowell’s music students. It was built as a composers’ studio and the stuccoed walls were intended to be soundproof.
