Christopher Koep (4/14/1953-8/4/2018) was an artist from Newark, NJ. He earned his B.F.A. at Syracuse University and his M.F.A. at Pratt Institute. He later received grants from Yaddo, MacDowell, and Millay Art Colony. Koep taught visual arts at Raritan Valley Community College for over 30 years while widely exhibiting his own paintings in solo and faculty art shows as well as in gallery spaces throughout New Jersey.
