Claire Begheyn is a sculptor, photographer, installation, and visual artist from Amsterdam. Begheyn began her study at Tilburg University, and completed her master’s degree at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. Begheyn’s work has been featured in more than 100 exhibitions worldwide, in cities like New York, Belgium, Miami, Tilburg, Detroit, and many others. Begheyn received several grants from numerous organizations, including the Kunstraad Council for the Arts in Amsterdam, the Pollack-Krasner Foundation in New York, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Rijswijk, and the Djerassi Foundation. Begheyn has received commissions from institutions worldwide and her work resides in several public and private collections. She is a member of the Fulbright Grant Foundation, and the organization ARTGARDEN.

Mixter
Claire Begheyn worked in the Mixter studio.
Built in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925.
