Claudia Fitch was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Seattle, Washington. She received her B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MFA in Painting from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia, and Rome, Italy. Claudia has exhibited at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, the Seattle Art Museum and the Portland Art Museum. Honors includes an NEA Fellowship Grant in Sculpture, Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant, and the international Art + Architecture Fellowship at the European Ceramics Works Center. Public art commissions include Quest Field in Seattle.
