Corinna Vallianatos is the author of a story collection and a novel. Her first book, a story collection, won the 2011 Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction. Her stories have appeared in The Best American Short Stories 2023, A Public Space, McSweeney's, and elsewhere. A new collection, Origin Stories, is forthcoming from Graywolf Press in 2025.

At MacDowell in 2011, Vallianatos completed three chapters of her first novel, then tentatively titled Brave Motion. In 2014, she worked on a novel, Visitation.

Corinna Vallianatos worked in the Heyward studio.

The Lodge Annex, a wing on the west side of the men’s dormitory (The Lodge), was completed in 1926.
