Dan Gurskis has more than twenty years of writing and producing experience in film and TV. He has worked both in this country and abroad for companies like Columbia, Paramount, RKO, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Comedy Central and USA Network. He has been an Emmy recipient and a Cable Ace nominee. He currently chairs the Department of Film at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
