Daniel Kellogg started work on a chamber opera titled The Onion Lullaby as well as a new piece for the Takacs Quartet inspired by Schubert's Death and the Maiden. His work has been recognized by awards from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, ASCAP, and BMI. He has written pieces for the Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, L'ensemble Orchestral de Paris, and the Aspen Chamber Orchestra among others. He teaches music composition at the College of Music, University of Colorado, Boulder.
