While in residence in 2000, Daniel Ludwig continued work on figurative paintings, drawings and sculpture that would be shown in May 2001 at Cadugan Contemporary Gallery in London, at Allan Stone Gallery in New York, and in a featured exhibition in 2001.

Daniel Ludwig worked in the Heinz studio.
The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
