David Alan DiPietro (1956-2015) was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania the son of Helen and Peter DiPietro. He graduated from Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona, and earned a M.F.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He went on to teach painting and drawing at the Fayette Campus of Penn State University for over 30 years, where he loved sharing his passion with the students.

David was a prominent local artist and had many beautiful works displayed throughout businesses in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He was also well-traveled and spent many years traveling abroad to study art and experience other cultures.
