David Harris Ebenbach worked on a collection of short fiction tentatively titled Into the Wilderness as well as a nonfiction exploration of the creative process called The Artist's Torah. His first collection of short stories, Between Camelots, won the Drue Heinz Literature Prize.

David Ebenbach worked in the Phi Beta studio.
Funded by the Phi Beta Fraternity, a national professional fraternity of music and speech founded in 1912, Phi Beta Studio was built between 1929–1931 of granite quarried on the MacDowell grounds.
