David Gorin worked on his first full-length collection of poems, Dust Jackets; a book-length illustrated essay on poetics titled Or, An Essay; and a dissertation on American poetry after 1980, Lyric Poetry After Lyric Poetry. He holds an M.F.A. in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and is completing his Ph.D. in English Literature at Yale University. His poetry and criticism have appeared in A Public Space, The Believer, Best New Poets 2011, Boston Review, The Claudius App, and elsewhere.

Wood

David Gorin worked in the Wood studio.

Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
