In residence, David Ryan, completed animation and low-resolution rendering of "Escape Velocity," a film installation. He also continued 3-D modeling and animation of "The Hungering Deep," a short video constructed with 3-D animation tools. Recent works of his have screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the New York Video Festival.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney.
