Denise Kumani Gantt worked on her new play, The Gift, a brief history of everything we have ever known. Her poetry collection, conjuring the dead, was winner of the Maryland Emerging Writers Award in 2003.

Denise Kumani Gantt worked in the Veltin studio.
Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department.
