Poet and multimedia artist Diana Khoi Nguyen is the author of Ghost Of, a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the 2019 Kate Tufts Discovery and Colorado Book awards. Her book, Root Fractures, is forthcoming and her video work has recently been exhibited at the Miller Institute for Contemporary Art. She has received a poetry Fellowship from the NEA and is a member of the Vietnamese artist collective, She Who Has No Master(s).
While at MacDowell, Nguyen wrote poems and composed video work based on meditations and reflections in family home video archives, chiefly examining the relationship between fathers and daughters: the writer's relationship with her father, his relationship with her sister, and her spouse's relationship with their 17-month old daughter.
