Dina Nayeri worked on her second novel, the story of an Iranian father and daughter reunited four times after decades of exile. Her first novel, A Teaspoon of Earth and Sea, was published by Riverhead Books in 2013 (and in a bunch of foreign countries). She was born in Iran, lived in refugee camps as a kid, spent some time as a businesswoman, moved to Amsterdam, became a French citizen, got divorced, went to the Iowa Writers Workshop, and, after a year in the Lower East Side, is pretty much mellowed out.
