Dorothy Alyea (1899-1974) was a New Jersey poet and civic leader. Among her books of poetry published were All My Argument and Beach Fire. She was the winner of the membership contest of the Poetry Society of America in 1973. She was active in the Montclair Women's Club, the League of Women Voters and, the Planned Parenthood Association.
