Elaine Kraf (2/21/1936 – 6/26/2013) was an American novelist, short story writer, and painter from New York City. She wrote, I Am Clarence, The Princess of 72nd Street, and the experimental novel, Find Him! Kraf was a two-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts award. She and her husband had one daughter, Milena.

Funded by the Phi Beta Fraternity, a national professional fraternity of music and speech founded in 1912, Phi Beta Studio was built between 1929–1931 of granite quarried on the MacDowell grounds.
