Eleanor King is an interdisciplinary artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She has exhibited her work and participated in residencies across Canada, the United States, and in Europe. She was shortlisted for the prestigious Sobey Art Award in 2012 and is represented by Diaz Contemporary, Toronto. King teaches media arts at NSCAD University and is director at Anna Leonowens Gallery.

At MacDowell, King created of a series new drawings to be exhibited in 2014 at Cambridge Galleries (Cambridge ON) and Diaz Contemporary (Toronto ON). Additionally, she created a sculpture piece that was on view at *QueenSpecific (Toronto) until January 2014. While at MacDowell, Eleanor also composed songs for her band Wet Denim, who had just released an album (with a MacDowell created drawing as the cover art).
