Elen Feinberg has exhibited her paintings throughout the US and Europe for over thirty years. Her work is included in the collections of numerous museums, some of which include the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Israel Museum and the Louisiana Museum of Science and Art. Feinberg’s work has been purchased for the corporate collections of Standard & Poors, IBM, Skadden Arps, HarperCollins, Morgan Guarantee Trust, and others. Feinberg holds several awards in painting, among them the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fulbright Foundation and the Ingram Merrill Foundation. She has been the recipient of artist-in-residence grants from MacDowell, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Roswell Museum and Art Center and the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences. She has held fellowships abroad in Austria, Hungary and Malta.
Feinberg was born in New York. She received her B.F.A. from Cornell University (Class Marshall, Faculty Medal of Art) and her M.F.A. from Indiana University. She retired from a distinguished teaching career at the University of New Mexico in 2011, and now paints full-time in her studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
