Elizabeth Albert is a visual artist, writer, and curator based in Brooklyn, New York and an associate professor at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where she teaches in the Department of Art and Design and the Institute for Core Studies. Her paintings and works on paper have been exhibited nationally, and she has received fellowships from the NEA/ Mid-Atlantic Arts Council, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Inc., the MacDowell Colony, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Furthermore Grants in Publishing. She is an active member of the Gowanus Canal Conservancy, where she has been volunteering with her students since 2010.

Elizabeth continued work on a series of paintings of fable like psychodramas while at MacDowell.
