Elliott Miles McKinley is an American composer who draws influences from a diverse array of musical styles. He lives in the Boston area and is professor of music at Roger Williams University.
While at MacDowell, McKinley worked on a revision of a 2022 work titled Pale Blue Dot for bass clarinet, marimba, and string quartet. The work will be premiered in its new version during the 2025-26 concert season and recorded for a future album release. He also worked on sketches and drafts for a new, large-scale work for solo piano.

massed, the building is stuccoed on the exterior with a natural,
unpainted cement. Its unusual half-timbered ornament consists of
slender, knotty spruce poles painted a dark green color. A central,
