Emma Duffy-Comparone's fiction has appeared in Ploughshares, One Story, The Southern Review, and elsewhere. A graduate of the Boston University M.F.A. program, she has received scholarships from the Sewanee and Bread Loaf Writers' Conferences. She teaches at Tufts University. She lives in Portsmouth, NH, and while at MacDowell she continued working on a collection of short stories.
