Eric Nathan serves as an associate professor of music at Brown University, artistic director of Collage New Music and is a composer-in-residence at the New England Philharmonic. He is a winner of a Rome Prize, Guggenheim Fellowship, and Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Recent projects include three commissions from the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and additional works for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

At MacDowell, Nathan completed a flute concerto for flutist Alejandro Escuer and a consortium of orchestras in Mexico and the U.S. for premieres in Boston and Mexico City.

Delta Omicron

Eric Nathan worked in the Delta Omicron studio.

Delta Omicron Studio was funded by members of the international musical fraternity in 1927. The building design is somewhat medieval in character, with an unusual cedar shingle pattern, a steeply pitched slate roof, intersecting gables, and small windows.
