Erik den Breejen’s paintings have been exhibited internationally and are in collections throughout the world, including the Kistefos Collection in Norway. Den Breejen's public projects include a two-story mural commission for Atlantic Records' New York City headquarters and a commission for Public Art for Public Schools to be installed at PS24Q in Flushing, Queens in August, 2018. He is a 2015 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in Painting.
While at MacDowell, Erik continued work on his “Subliminal Messages" and “Stereo Paintings” series for his next solo show.

to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the
half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow
and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914. Chamberlin was
primarily a painter, but also provided designs for the Lodge and an
early renovation of the main hall.
