Eva H.D. used her time at MacDowell to complete a draft of a poetry manuscript. She also wrote much of what might be a very strange novel, and continued work on a translation of Vassilis Alexakis' 2007 novel I Will Forget You Always. Before her fellowship, Eva’s poem, "38 Michigans," won the 2015 Montreal International Poetry Prize.

Sorosis
Eva H.D. worked in the Sorosis studio.
Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
