Faith Adiele is an American writer, speaker, and teacher whose work is largely influenced by her multi-cultural experiences, having been born to a Nigerian father and a Nordic-American mother. She has written several memoirs and books, fiction and non-fiction, winning a PEN Beyond the Margins award for her Memoir Meeting Faith. Adiele has held residencies not only at MacDowell, but also at Yaddo Corporation, the Banff Center for the Arts, and the Instituto Sacatar in Brazil, among others. She currently teaches at the California College of Arts.

Studios

Mixter

Faith Adiele worked in the Mixter studio.

Built in 1927–1930, the Florence Kilpatrick Mixter Studio was funded by its namesake and designed by the architect F. Winsor, Jr., who also designed MacDowell's original Savidge Library in 1925.
