Francesca Zambello is a director. She is the genereal and artistic director of the Glimmerglass Festival and the artistic advisor of San Francisco Opera, where she directed a new production of Wagner’s RING cycle. She directed CARMEN in the NCPA (National Center for the Performing Arts) in Beijing.
While at MacDowell, she worked on a collaborative project with Terrence McNally and Deborah Voigt.
Francesca Zambello worked in the Watson studio.
Built in 1916 in memory of Regina Watson of Chicago, a musician and teacher, this studio was donated by a group of her friends, along with funds for its maintenance.
