At MacDowell, Gail Taylor completed her second poetry manuscript, Guest House, which explores the themes of transience, womanhood, and the African American experience. Her first collection, Red Dust Daughter (limited Edition), was published in 1999. Work from Guest House appears in the May 2003 edition of Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review and the forthcoming anthology "Wild Sweet Notes II: More West Virginia Poetry, 2004.
