While at MacDowell, Gao Ping continued work on, "Friend" a piano-duo piece for Ursula Oppens and Frederic Rzewski. "Concerto for pipa and viola" will receive a China premiere with Beijing Symphony Orchestra 2004. "12 Hour Bridge", a piece for flute and piano, will be premiered in Amsterdam in November, 2004. A "composer portrait" CD will be recorded by the pyramide Ensemble and myself in Switzerland this year.
